July 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is going through a key stage of its economic growth.

BSTDB President Serhat Köksal said this, when delivering speech at the business forum within the 28th annual meeting of the BSTDB Board of Governors, taking place in Baku.

"Over the past few decades, the country has transformed into a dynamically developing economy with strong institutions, modern infrastructure, and an increasingly diversified production base. Azerbaijan has established itself not only as a major energy producer, but also as a strategic hub connecting East and West, and North and South. It is a country that recognizes that connectivity is not just about transportation corridors and logistics chains, but also about creating opportunities, integrating markets, and building prosperity," Köksal emphasized.

He noted that the theme of today's forum is fully in line with this vision.

"The integration of markets, diversification of economies, and creation of sustainability through partnerships are not abstract aspirations. They are the foundation for sustainable growth in a world that is becoming increasingly complex and interdependent. Azerbaijan has shown impressive determination in this regard. The country's efforts to diversify beyond the hydrocarbon industry, develop the non-oil sector, support entrepreneurial activity, and strengthen regional ties have created new opportunities for investment and cooperation," Köksal added.
