August 21, Fineko/abc.az. Anthropic PBC, the creator of the Claude AI model, expects to match or exceed SpaceX's record-breaking initial public offering (IPO) size of $86.2 billion. Sources indicate that the company is preparing to file for its potential mega-IPO as early as the end of this month.

In May, the five-year-old company raised $65 billion at a valuation of $965 billion, outpacing its primary rival OpenAI. Anthropic is currently on track to complete its public listing ahead of OpenAI, which is considering a market debut in 2027.

An IPO of this magnitude could easily make 2026 the highest-volume year for IPOs in US history. As of August 19, newly listed companies have raised $160.6 billion, closing in on the all-time record of $195.2 billion set in 2021.
