August 23, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for Uzbekistan's active involvement in the reconstruction of the Karabakh region.

Speaking at the 3rd meeting of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council, President Aliyev noted that Uzbekistan was the first foreign nation to offer practical assistance on the ground. He highlighted the Mirzo Ulugbek School in Fuzuli, which is now educating hundreds of students, as a standing symbol of bilateral brotherhood.

Additionally, President Aliyev praised the textile factory established by Uzbek partners in Khankendi, which became the first modern production facility in the region, creating over 200 local jobs primarily for women.
