August 18, Fineko/abc.az. In January-July of this year, the value of Azerbaijan's exports of natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, imitation jewelry, and coins reached 3 billion 712 million 605 thousand USD.

According to the State Customs Committee, this represents a 20.6-fold or 3 billion 532.2 million USD increase compared to the same period last year.

Significant Drop in Imports

During the reporting period, a sharp decline was observed in imports for the same product category:

• Import Value: Stood at 56 million 542 thousand USD (a 66.9-fold year-on-year decrease).

• Share in Foreign Trade: Over the 7-month period, these items accounted for 19.2% of Azerbaijan's total exports and 0.57% of total imports.
