August 22, Fineko/abc.az. The International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB), the country's largest financial institution, is expanding its footprint into Uzbekistan's banking sector.

Speaking at the 4th Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum in Tashkent, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov officially confirmed the market entry. ABB is acquiring a 51% controlling stake in Uzbekistan’s private commercial entity, Davr Bank.

Davr Bank, which holds approximately $1 billion in assets and operates 43 branches nationwide, will undergo a complete rebranding to operate under the title ABB Davr Bank.
