August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Since 2015, including the 1st half of 2025, 17.2 billion manats have been sold in the industrial zones of Azerbaijan, and 5.53 billion manats of them accounted for exports.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Economic Zones Development Agency (under the Ministry of Economy) that in the 1st half of this year, sales for 1.83 billion manats were carried out in industrial zones, and 583.5 million manats of them accounted for exports.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2024, sales of products in industrial zones grew by 28.7%, exports – by 22.4%.

Output produced in industrial zones – polymers, carbamide, steel and polyethylene pipes, tobacco products, wallpaper, shoes for various purposes, lubricating oils, ferroalloys, various types of cables, glass boards, construction chemicals, yarn, electrodes, etc. – is exported to more than 70 countries around the world under brand Made in Azerbaijan, including to the USA, Canada, China, India, England, Germany, the UAE, Greece, Israel, Austria, Norway, the Czech Republic, Spain, Belgium and other countries. 
"At the same time, positive steps are being taken to attract entrepreneurs to industrial zones, invest and create new jobs. Since 2013, 160 business entities with total investments for 8.03 billion manats in industrial zones have been granted resident status, and 12 entrepreneurs have been granted non–resident status. Entrepreneurs have invested more than 6.88 billion manats in industrial zones, and 10,900 permanent jobs have been created," the Agency says.
