August 22, Fineko/abc.az. During the first seven months of this year (January–July), Azerbaijan produced 30,449.2 tons of liquid vegetable oils. According to the State Statistics Committee, this represents a 35.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, margarine production reached 22,855.2 tons, down 16.3% year-on-year. As of August 1, national finished inventories stood at 3,495.5 tons of liquid vegetable oil (up 16.08%) and 4,064.3 tons of margarine (a 21.32-fold increase).

Overall, food production in Azerbaijan totaled 3 billion 164.9 million manats during the seven-month period, reflecting a 9.6% year-on-year increase.
