August 22, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan exported 6,108.7 tons of frozen fish products to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. According to the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AQTA), this represents an 81.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, chilled and frozen fish products are imported into the country from over 20 nations, including Iran, Russia, Vietnam, Turkey, China, Chile, Norway, and Estonia. AQTA enforces document verification, identity checking, and physical control measures on all imported products.
