June 12, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to increase the number of small and boutique wineries in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said this at a meeting on the State Agriculture Development Program 2026-203.
According to the minister, our country is numbering five boutique wineries, and their number is to increase up to 20.
"Government support will be provided to investors in this area. Mechanisms for subsidizing equipment, compensating interest rates on loans, and supporting the establishment of technical vineyards will be used to create new wineries," Mammadov said.
He added that the mechanism of subsidizing the laying of technical vineyards is a new tool and has not been used before.
"There is significant potential for development of winemaking in the country, including the territories liberated from occupation," the minister stressed.
