August 17, Fineko/abc.az. To strengthen food security and support import substitution in Azerbaijan, production capacity and yield for strategic products including wheat, meat, milk, fish, and vegetable oils will be enhanced.

According to the Ministry of Finance, to increase value-added processing for export-oriented products, measures will focus on developing the processing industry in fruit, vegetable, hazelnut, and cotton farming. Planned initiatives also include expanding modern irrigation systems, cold storage, and logistics infrastructure, integrating digital technologies for soil management, and strengthening incentives to attract domestic and foreign investment.
