August 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are conducting final adjustment works under the Trans-Caspian Fiber-Optic Cable Line project, with full commercial operation scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
According to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, the project has entered its final stage. The most technical phase — laying the cable along the Caspian seabed — is complete, and specialists are currently configuring network equipment.
Expanding the Digital Corridor The cable line will serve as a vital transit telecommunications route linking Europe and Asia. Future expansion plans consider connecting other Central Asian nations to the corridor. The Ministry noted that details regarding ongoing consultations with Turkmenistan and other regional states will remain confidential until agreements are finalized. © Report
