Gold breaks records for 50 days in a row

December 23, Fineko/abc.az. The price of gold has been hitting a record for 50 consecutive days.

ABC.AZ informs that Bloomberg writes about this. The agency attributes this to rising geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela and the expectation of a Fed rate cut.

So, last night, the price of gold updated its historical maximum: the price of futures for February delivery peaked at $4,502.4 per troy ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange (COMEX). By 4:46 a.m. (Baku time), the futures price dropped to $4,501.5.

Meanwhile, the price of silver reached a record of $70, and platinum exceeded $2,100.
