Samaddin Askerov, the head of the sector of the NAR Ministry of Agriculture, said that according to the decision of the Council on Agricultural Subsidies of Azerbaijan, orchards that are being laid in the NAR from September 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, will be provided with the highest one-time amounts of subsidies. For the first time, intensive fruit orchards and berry plantations will also be able to receive government support.
Askerov added that the conditions of subsidies have been simplified, the height criterion has been raised, and the requirement for the number of seedlings has been reduced. This creates conditions for the further development of fruit growing and viticulture in Nakhchivan.
