July 14, Fineko/abc.az. Fishing facilities that meet the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the fields of fishing, food safety and breeding animal husbandry could be included in the trade turnover.

This is reflected in the new Bill on Fishing submitted for discussion at today's Milli Majlis meeting.

According to the draft, fish products are packaged and labeled in accordance with the Law on Food Safety. When fish products are included in the trade turnover, they are accompanied by veterinary documents in accordance with the Law on Veterinary Medicine.

To include fish and other aquatic bioresources obtained by fishing entities as a result of fishing or aquaculture activities in the trade turnover, information about their origin, gender, species, quantity, and weight of the batch, as well as their average size, is entered into the information system of the body (structure) determined by the relevant executive authority.

According to the amending draft, import and export of fish products is carried out in accordance with the Law on Food Safety (taking into account the opinion of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority in relation to the export of frozen and chilled fish and other aquatic bioresources). The import and export of fish and other aquatic bioresources, juvenile fish, and incubated eggs is carried out taking into account the opinion of the body (institution) established by the relevant executive authority. The breeding characteristics of fish pathogens and other aquatic biological resources, fish fry, and incubated eggs imported into and exported from the country are determined by an authority (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
