August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan will conduct a detailed impact analysis of agricultural subsidies and concessions on food security, export potential, and farmer profitability.

According to the Ministry of Finance, subsidy types and amounts deemed economically inefficient will be gradually reduced, with freed budget funds redirected toward higher-yield initiatives. For certain products, subsidy distribution will be time-bound rather than continuous. To enhance transparency, the functionality of the Electronic Agricultural Information System (EKTİS) will be expanded to track cultivated area, productivity, livestock numbers, and sales data on a single platform.
