Petkim's net profit reached $124 million for Q2

August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey's largest petrochemical holding Petkim ended the 2nd quarter of 2026 with net profit of 4.1 billion Turkish liras ($124.24 million), exceeding market forecasts of 3.8 billion liras ($115.15 million).

The company gained after losses for Q2 of 2025: net profit increased by 26% in the quarter and by 38% year-on-year. With revenue of 36.4 billion liras ($1.1 billion), EBITDA reached 3.4 billion liras ($103.03 million). The growth was facilitated by high energy prices, expansion of ethylene naphtha margin by 126% (to $485 per ton), as well as contribution of STAR Refinery in the amount of $35 million.

By the end of 2026, Petkim plans to produce 2.6 million tons and sell 2.1 million tons of products, having recorded EBITDA and capital expenditures at $100 million, respectively.
