August 7, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on the creation of the Organizing Committee for the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

Under the decree, Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov has been appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee, with the Minister of Economy serving as Vice Chairman. The committee comprises heads of key line ministries, state agencies, as well as major state entities including SOFAZ, SOCAR, AZAL, Azərenerji, and Azərişıq.

The Ministry of Economy will function as the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee.

The committee will oversee the organization of the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, scheduled for September 25–26 this year, and will formulate and coordinate annual action plans.

The decree emphasizes that the successful outcome of the inaugural forum held in 2025 established a solid foundation for sustaining the event as a long-term international investment platform.
