August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Vessels and cargo continue to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, so it can be considered open, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, as reported by Reuters.

"Ships are passing through the strait, oil is moving, so the strait is open. However, there is a negotiation underway between Iran and Oman, in which we are also involved, on how to ensure the safe passage of more vessels in the short term," the head of US diplomacy stated.

Rubio added that the primary objective of the US military campaign against Iran remains preventing the Islamic Republic from achieving its ambitions of becoming a nuclear-armed state.
