Kazakhstan Plans Paid Online Entry Permits for Foreigners

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan is preparing to introduce a paid online entry authorization system for foreign citizens and stateless persons. According to a draft government decree, the system is scheduled to launch within this year.

Explanatory notes attached to the draft decree state that the electronic authorization process is designed to "ensure transparency, efficiency, and comprehensive tracking of migration flows." Under the proposed regulations, incoming travelers will be required to obtain digital pre-clearance and pay a processing fee prior to entering the country.
