August 6, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2026, the average daily export capacity of the South Caucasus Pipeline totaled 63.7 million cu m of gas, according to bp’s report.
Operatorship transitioned to SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC.
In the first 6 months, the SCP operating expenses amounted nearly to $41 million and capital expenditures - about $19 million.
On July 1, 2026, the SCP general operation was transferred from BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited to SOCAR's subsidiary SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC.
The SCP was commissioned at the end of 2006 and supplies gas from Shah Deniz field to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Gas supplies to Europe as part of the expansion of the gas transportation system began in December 2020. The SCP company shareholders are: bp (29.99%), Southern Gas Corridor (21.02%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19%) and NICO (10%).
