June 22, Fineko/abc.az. The opening of the Zangezur Corridor will create new opportunities for the export of agricultural products from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

ABC.AZ informs that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said this at a meeting in Sharur dedicated to the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries & Aquaculture 2026-2030.

A meeting devoted to the State Program, approved by the presidential decree from May 25, 2026, was held in Sharur district today.

Within the event held in connection with the fulfillment of the tasks arising from the meeting, representatives of the private sector were provided with detailed information about the State Program, extensive discussions were held with entrepreneurs, their suggestions and questions were listened to and answered.

Mammadov noted that the fundamental measures cover activities that will be directly implemented in the field of agriculture, while supporting measures include legislative initiatives, institutional reforms and work carried out towards digitalization: "At today's meeting, information was provided on the fundamental measures in Nakhchivan, participation of the private sector in this process, and government support mechanisms. In particular, importance of expanding the use of modern irrigation systems, as well as development of livestock and crop production was emphasized."
