August 18, Fineko/abc.az. Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the United States must fulfill the conditions set under the agreement for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened.

According to Ghalibaf, the strait will remain closed until the blockade and oil sanctions are fully lifted.

"The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened without lifting the blockade, unfreezing assets, removing oil sanctions, ending threats and military operations on all fronts, and fulfilling other terms of the agreement," Ghalibaf emphasized.

He added that the temporary ceasefire and opportunity to ease the blockade have helped Iran enhance its economic resilience and restructure its defense capabilities, noting that Tehran is prepared to respond decisively to any external interventions.
