U.S. imposes new duties on a range of countries since August 1 - China and Russia not included in list

August 1, Fineko/abc.az. Donald Trump has signed a decree on the introduction of duties, which will take effect on August 1 for dozens of countries. It is noteworthy that China and Russia are not on the list.

ABC.AZ reports that in particular, tariff of 15% was imposed for the EU, 25% for Moldova, 35% for Serbia, 39% for Switzerland, 25% for India.

By a separate decree, Trump raised duties for Canada from 25% up to 35%.

Amid new duties, global indices began to fall. MSCI Asia Pacific index dropped 0.5%. Futures for the S&P 500 fell 0.3%, while European stocks fell 0.4%. The Swiss franc is also weakening, Bloomberg writes.
