July 4, Fineko/abc.az. Consumer food prices in France do not respond well to the decline in inflation and global prices.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Consumer Protection Association, that a new era of persistently high food prices is beginning, associated not with temporary fluctuations, but with profound changes in the agri-food sector.

For example, the price of sliced steak popular with the French has increased from €11 per kg in 2021 to €15.55 in 2025. At the same time, even for cheaper products, retail prices remain high due to large trade margins.
