60,269 tourists from Europe came to Azerbaijan for Jan-Apr

July 2, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 4 months of 2026, 60,269 tourists from European countries came to Azerbaijan (8% more against Jan-Apr 2025).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tourism Agency that 30,175 tourists arrived in Azerbaijan from Eastern European countries (+1.4%).

Among Eastern European countries, the highest number of tourists came from Ukraine (10,544 visitors - a drop of 1.2% versus Jan-Apr 2025).

In addition, 6,105 tourists came to Azerbaijan from Belarus (-17.5%), from Poland - 3,334 ones  (+30.7%), from Hungary - 1,535 ones (+47.2%), from Moldova  - 1,404 ones (-3.3%), from Romania - 1,208 (+24.8%), Czech Republic - 1,088 (+18.6%), Lithuania - 867 (+16.1%), Serbia - 651 (+5.2%), Latvia - 643 (+14%), Bulgaria - 540 (-12.8%), Slovakia — 525 (+12.7%), Estonia - 459 (-5.9%), Croatia - 376 (+27%), Slovenia - 283 (+8.4%), Cyprus - 162 (+14.1%), Bosnia & Herzegovina - 147 (-19.7%), Albania - 100 (-2.9%), Montenegro - 105 (-34%), North Macedonia - 99 (-14.7%).

Over Jan-Apr 2026, 30,094 tourists came to Azerbaijan from Western European countries (15.5% more versus Jan-Apr 2025).

Among Western European countries, the most of tourists came from the UK (7,416 people; a rise of 17.4% more against Jan-Apr 2025).

In addition, 7,045 tourists came from Germany (+36.7%), 4,314 ones from Italy (+6.8%), 1,891 ones from France (+6.7%), 1,887 ones from Spain (-7%), 1,440 ones from the Netherlands (+4.5%), Belgium - 903 (+22.5%), from Portugal - 832 (+14%), from Austria - 765 (+15.9%), from Switzerland - 657 (+13.1%), from Sweden - 635 (+17.8%), from Greece - 588 (+9.1%), from Ireland - 487 (+22.4%), from Norway - 390 (+10.5%), from Denmark - 312 (+11.4%), from Finland - 211 (-16.3%), from Luxembourg - 124 (-12.7%), from Malta - 99 (+4.2%), from Iceland - 51 (+4.1%), from Andorra - 47 (11.7-fold more).

Over the first 4 months of 2026, 658,100 foreign citizens and stateless persons from 175 countries arrived in Azerbaijan (11% less against Jan-Apr 2025).
