August 24, Fineko/abc.az. Based on 2024 results, the total value of global gross agricultural output reached $5.2 trillion.
During the reporting period, China comfortably maintained its position as the global leader with an output of $1.9 trillion, accounting for 35.6% of the world total. India ($573 billion / 10.9%) and the United States ($451 billion / 8.6%) ranked second and third, respectively. The top five was rounded out by Brazil ($204 billion) and Indonesia ($145 billion).
Other countries entering the top ten included Turkey ($92 billion), Russia ($87 billion), Japan ($86 billion), France ($82 billion), and Mexico. The share of other leading European economies—such as Germany, Italy, and Spain—stood at around 1–1.2% each in global agricultural output.
