August 20, Fineko/abc.az. The "State Program for Tourism Development 2026–2030," approved by President Ilham Aliyev, outlines the establishment of a professional guiding and safety framework for mountain and adventure tourism. The initiative aims to elevate service standards and protect consumer rights across the sector.

Under the program, the "Law on Tourism" will be updated to establish minimum regulatory requirements and oversight mechanisms for tourism operators. Additionally, mandatory sanitary-hygienic, safety, and emergency response standards will be enacted for hotels and accommodation facilities.
