August 20, Fineko/abc.az. Under the "State Program for Tourism Development 2026–2030" approved by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will establish and expand a unified Tourism Information System. The initiative aims to fully digitize travel-related infrastructure and visitor services.

Pursuant to the program, schedule and route data for aviation, railways, intercity buses, and public transit will be standardized into the international GTFS format. Additionally, digital audio guides in five foreign languages will be deployed via QR codes at key heritage sites, alongside upgrades to the official "Azerbaijan.travel" portal.
