August 20, Fineko/abc.az. Under the "State Program for Tourism Development 2026–2030" approved by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will overhaul its transport booking systems and introduce flexible travel packages to stimulate tourism.

Pursuant to the program, daily, weekly, and monthly railway ticket packages alongside discounted fares for specific destinations will be introduced for tourists.

The national railway ticketing system will also be integrated into Global Distribution Systems (GDS). To streamline travel to Nakhchivan, the framework outlines provisions for Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku charter flights and a dedicated booking model allowing tour operators to bundle flight tickets into travel packages.
