August 24, Fineko/abc.az. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh will deliver his first major address as head of the US central bank at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium this Friday, with markets closely watching for signals on interest rate policies.

Warsh’s limited guidance following the July meeting spurred a rise in long-term US Treasury yields amid persistent inflation fears. The core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, scheduled for release on Wednesday, is projected to show an annual increase of 3.6%, remaining above the Fed's 2% target.

In addition to monetary policy, Warsh is expected to address institutional reforms, having established five working groups to review the central bank's communication frameworks and organizational approach.
