August 26, Fineko/abc.az. According to statistical data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) as of August 1, 2026, the largest share of the country's loan portfolio belongs to households and the trade & services sector.

Specifically, 59.6% of the total loan portfolio was allocated to households. Among economic sectors, trade and services held the largest share at 13.1%.

The complete breakdown of the loan portfolio by sector is as follows:

• Households: 59.6%

• Trade and services sector: 13.1%

• Industry and manufacturing sector: 7.5%

• Transport and communications sector: 7.4%

• Construction sector: 4.8%

• Agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector: 1.6%

• Mining and electricity, gas, steam, and water supply sector: 1.5%

• Other: 4.5%
