August 20, Fineko/abc.az. Under the "State Program for Tourism Development 2026–2030" approved by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will establish a regulatory framework and infrastructure based on the "Tourism Village" concept.

The initiative focuses on promoting sustainable tourism across rural regions and protected nature reserves.

Pursuant to the document, sustainable tourism practices will be organized within national parks and state reserves, alongside the modernization of hunting estates to develop sports hunting tourism. Furthermore, the program outlines targeted development for Naftalan city and the establishment of climate action regulatory mechanisms within the tourism sector.
