August 15, Fineko/abc.az. Eurostat has released international trade figures for the Eurozone and the European Union (EU) for June.
According to the data, Eurozone exports rose by 14.4% year-on-year to €272.5 billion, while imports increased by 13.1% to €263.9 billion. Consequently, the Eurozone recorded a trade surplus of €8.6 billion in June, compared to a deficit of €4.8 billion in June last year and €7.8 billion in May.
EU exports increased by 12.5% to €241.5 billion, while imports grew by 13.5% to €237.7 billion, yielding a trade surplus of €3.9 billion. The top importers from the EU were the US (€45.7B), the UK (€32.4B), Switzerland (€20.5B), China (€18.8B), and Türkiye (€9.7B). The leading exporters to the EU were China (€53.9B), the US (€34.5B), the UK (€15.3B), Switzerland (€12.5B), Norway (€8.8B), and Türkiye (€8.5B).
