Alphabet’s Stake in SpaceX Reaches $94 Billion

August 15, Fineko/abc.az. Alphabet’s (Google) early $900 million investment in SpaceX in 2015 has multiplied over 100-fold, reaching $94.2 billion at the end of June 2026. According to SEC filings, following SpaceX’s $86 billion initial public offering (IPO) in June, Alphabet emerged as the rocket company's largest single institutional shareholder, holding 551.2 million shares.

Despite a subsequent pullback in SpaceX's share price from its June 30 peak of $170.86, Alphabet's stake remains valued at approximately $77.9 billion. Other major institutional holders disclosed in the filings include Fidelity Investments (302.6 million shares), Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (154.1 million shares), Gigafund, Baillie Gifford, and BlackRock.
