August 14, Fineko/abc.az. A consortium featuring Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin is close to finalized an agreement to acquire a 30% stake in Premier League club Liverpool FC.

According to Sky News, the consortium is led by Amit Bhatia. The club's owner, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), could announce the deal within this week. The strategic minority investment would value Liverpool at approximately £4.4 billion ($5.9 billion), representing one of the highest valuations ever recorded for a football club.
