June 25, Fineko/abc.az. New regulatory framework governing outbound and inbound cross-border electronic commerce will officially come into effect across the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) starting July 1. According to Aleksei Artemiev, Deputy Director of the Department for Customs-Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of the EEC, e-commerce currently stands out as the most dynamically expanding sector within the union.
According to ABC.AZ, the official noted that digital track-and-trace marking systems have proven highly effective in sheltering the unified market from illicit product flows while generating additional fiscal inflows for the member states' national budgets.
Tangible impact of digital marking implemented in Kyrgyzstan:
Alcoholic Beverages Market: The aggregate circulation of non-marked, illicit alcohol products contracted sharply, dropping by 16 times.
Tobacco Industry: Concurrently, the unverified black market for tobacco products was compressed by 2 times.
Fiscal Optimization: Driven by these anti-smuggling digital measures, gross tax revenue collections stemming from these specific commodity categories increased by more than 25%.
