Marvell Offers Google $12 Billion Stake Deal, Sending Shares Soaring

August 19, Fineko/abc.az. Custom chipmaker Marvell Technology issued Google a warrant to buy a stake worth $12.18 billion as part of a partnership to develop custom AI processors. The move pushed Marvell's shares up by over 11% in premarket trading, while rival Broadcom fell more than 3%.

Under the deal, Marvell will build AI inference accelerators, storage, and networking controllers for Google. Demand for custom silicon has surged as tech firms look for alternatives to Nvidia's expensive graphics processors.
