August 19, Fineko/abc.az. In the first seven months of 2026, Azerbaijan exported 50.1 thousand tonnes of apples valued at $40.95 million.

According to the State Customs Committee, while the volume of apple exports declined by 4.3 thousand tonnes (7.8%) compared to the same period last year, total revenue increased by $2.7 million (7%). Apple exports accounted for a minor share of Azerbaijan's total export earnings.

Foreign Trade Highlights:

• Trade Turnover: Foreign trade operations rose 1.3% year-on-year, reaching $29 billion 216 million.

• Exports and Imports: Exports surged by 27% to $19 billion 336 million, whereas imports dropped by 27.4% to $9 billion 881 million.

• Trade Balance: The foreign trade surplus reached $9 billion 455 million, representing a 5.9-fold increase compared to the previous year.
