June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Cooperation with the Arab Coordination Group is already yielding real results in financing infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said this at a dialogue session with the Chairman of the Board of Governors on the topic "Azerbaijan as host and coordinator: green transformation, regional integration and strategic partnership" within the 51st annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group.
The minister noted that the example of Azerbaijan demonstrates effectiveness of this format of cooperation: "The results are being achieved faster than we expected. Documents on specific projects are already being signed and put into effect. Speech is about financing waste recycling plants, highway construction and other infrastructure projects."
Jabbarov stressed that the IDB is not only a financial institution, but also an important platform for cooperation.
"The connections formed within this platform create additional opportunities for creating new projects and partnerships. Participation of multilateral development banks in any process of bilateral cooperation provides additional guarantees for the quality, reliability and level of responsibility of projects. Participation of international financial institutions increases trust between the parties and creates conditions for formation of new formats of cooperation."
