May 8, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2026, Georgia's economy grew by 9.1%, ABC.AZ reports quoting Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze.
He noted that in March alone, economic growth made up 10.7%.
According to Kobakhidze, this result was achieved amid the ongoing crisis in the region and the tense situation in the Middle East.
Kobakhidze added that economic growth directly affects the growth of average wages, poverty reduction, growth of the State Budget and expansion of social programs.
The PM also stressed that the fight against corruption has also had positive impact on improving economic performance.
According to Kobakhidze, the main goal of the government is to maintain high rates of economic growth.
