September 24, Fineko/abc.az. The retail trade turnover in Baku for Jan-Aug 2025 amounted to 23.554 bn manats.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Baku City Statistics Department, the indicator is 4% more versus Jan-Aug 2024.

The value of food, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain increased by 3.7% compared with Jan-Aug 2024 to 12.955 bn manats, while the volume of non-food products increased by 4.3% up to 10.598 bn manats.

Compared with Jan-Aug 2024, retail trade turnover for Jan-Aug 2025 grew by 6% for enterprises in real terms and by 2.8% for individual entrepreneurs, markets and fairs.

38.3% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with the status of legal entity, 50.3% - in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 11.4% - in the commodity markets of the capital.

Over Jan-Aug 2025, goods for 40.4 bn manats were sold in the retail trade network of Azerbaijan, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for 22.2 bn manats, and non-food products for 18.2 bn manats. Compared with Jan-Aug 2024, retail trade increased by 3.7% in real terms, including foods, beverages and tobacco products by 1.3% and non-food products by 6.7%.
