Trump’s Decision to Raise Tariffs on Goods from India Comes into Effect

August 27, Fineko/abc.az. The decree of U.S. President Donald Trump to increase import tariffs on goods from India to 50% has come into force. According to ABC.AZ, Reuters reported on August 27 that “President Donald Trump’s decision to double tariffs on goods from India to 50% came into effect on Wednesday (August 27) as planned.”

The publication clarified that the new tariffs apply to the following goods supplied from India: clothing, precious stones, jewelry, footwear, sporting goods, furniture, and chemicals.
