August 25, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, Azerbaijan produced 78,000 square meters of carpets and carpet products.

According to the State Statistics Committee, this reflects a 41.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year (1,900 sq.m). As of August 1, ready product inventories in industrial warehouses decreased by 7.1% year-on-year to 5,200 square meters.

Foreign Trade Performance:

• Exports: According to the State Customs Committee, exports of carpets and other textile floor coverings reached $229,130 over the seven-month period, marking a 4.5-fold increase year-on-year (up from $50,830).

• Imports: Import values for similar products decreased by 12.5% year-on-year to $9,852,780 (down from $11,258,610 recorded in H1 2025).
