August 26, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, the volume of trade operations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom amounted to $886.3 million. According to ABC.AZ, this was reported by the State Customs Committee. The report states that this is $335.7 million, or 54.3%, more than in the same months of 2024. During the reporting period, trade operations with the United Kingdom accounted for 3.07% of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover. Thus, the United Kingdom ranked 6th among the countries with which Azerbaijan carries out the largest volume of trade operations.

In January–July of the current year, exports from Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom amounted to $215.9 million. This is $182.9 million, or 45.8%, less than in the same period of 2024. At the same time, in January–July 2025, imports from the United Kingdom to Azerbaijan reached $670.4 million, which is $518.4 million, or 4.4 times more than a year earlier.

It should be noted that in January–July 2025, Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with foreign countries worth $28.8 billion. This is 7.25% more than in the same period last year. Exports accounted for $15.2 billion of foreign trade turnover and imports for $13.6 billion. In annual terms, exports decreased by 5.4%, while imports increased by 26.1%. As a result, foreign trade recorded a positive balance of $1.6 billion, which means a 3.3-fold decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
