August 22, Fineko/abc.az. Uzbekistan has proposed to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to explore the prospects of cooperation in geological exploration and development of fields on the Caspian shelf, as well as to expand collaboration in the field of cargo transportation.

According to ABC.AZ, such proposals were made by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Turkmenistan at a high-level trilateral meeting with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In addition, Mirziyoyev expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in creating its own ferry facilities for cargo transportation across the Caspian Sea.
