ABC.AZ reports that there is no uniform dynamics in Asia. Thus, Japanese index Nikkei 225 is growing by 2.18%, to 38,630.99 points, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell by 3.12%, to 21,743.18 points. Mainland Chinese markets will be closed until October 8 due to a week-long holiday, and South Korea will be closed on Thursday due to the Day of Founding of the State.
On Wednesday, Japan's new PM Shigeru Ishiba stated to journalists that economic conditions currently do not support another rate hike. Ishiba made his comments after a meeting with the head of the Bank of Japan Kazuo Ueda.
Oil is getting more expensive: Brent futures rose by 1.12% to $74.73 per barrel, WTI price – by 1.26% to $70.98. Investors assessed the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and the likelihood of disruptions in the supply of crude oil amid the abundant supply at the world market.
