July 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank plans to expand support for small & medium-sized businesses.

ABC.AZ informs that Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said this at the 28th annual meeting of the BCTD Board of Governors held in Baku.

According to the minister, further expansion of cooperation with the Bank is envisaged in the upcoming period.

"During today's discussions, the focus was on expanding transnational and regional projects in Azerbaijan, as well as in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region. In particular, we discussed the broader support for transport corridors and energy projects, as well as increasing financial support for the private sector, particularly small & medium-sized businesses, in Azerbaijan and other participating countries."

Babayev noted that Bank's successful activity is expected to continue in the future: "At the same time, we highly appreciate the results of 2025. Last year, financial measures and investment projects implemented by both the countries of the region and the Bank yielded successful results. Bank's financial position has further strengthened, and the financial ratings of the countries of the region have either improved or remained stable. In this context, the successful results of 2025 are being noted, and promising projects for the next period are being discussed."
