July 9, Fineko/abc.az. Mitsubishi Motors has signed a memorandum with Highlanders on the joint development and introduction of humanoid robots in production.

The company plans to use robots for transportation of parts and the assembly of engines, and from 2027 to start their production at the plant in Kyoto with possible entry into the foreign market. The target volume is up to 1,000 units per month.

The project aims to address the shortage of labor and modernize production processes.
