July 10, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has recorded a fuel shortage in its domestic market due to unscheduled maintenance at oil refineries following drone attacks.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak introduced these updates regarding the supply constraints.
According to reports, the government is strengthening security protocols at refining facilities and expanding alternative supply routes. The authorities have implemented a temporary ban on gasoline and diesel exports while actively arranging petroleum product imports to stabilize market dynamics.
Despite localized supply deficits and queues at fuel stations, officials emphasized that aggregate domestic production capacities remain sufficient and expect to fully restore refinery utilization rates by September. The government is also discussing the strategic deployment of small-scale refining units across various regions to mitigate future supply shocks.
