July 10, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union intends to allow Ukraine to purchase weapons from the UK as part of the €60 billion military funding program for 2026-2027.

According to sources, the EU is close to an agreement with London that will allow British companies to participate in the supply. However, the European Commission requires the UK to co-finance the deals if Kyiv uses European funds.

The program provides for the "buy European" principle: purchases from third countries are allowed only if there are no equivalents in the EU and after approval by the European Commission.
